Virginia Tattoo Removal

Removing tattoos is just as much an art as creating them. At Virginia Skin & Vein, Dr. Martin Smith performs laser tattoo removal at our Roanoke office using a Hoya ConBio MedLite® C6 laser, which breaks the pigments, or colors, in tattoos into tiny fragments. Dr. Smith is highly trained and experienced in the use of lasers to remove tattoos, and is able to find the right wavelength and administer the appropriate laser pulse to effectively break up the tattoo with minimal damage to the skin.

At our Roanoke tattoo removal center, four or five separate sessions and occasionally more are usually required to remove tattoos, depending on the size and location of the tattoo, and other individual circumstances. Sessions are fairly quick and the procedure is generally not painful. Anesthesia is available for an additional fee for patients who need pain relief.

Although every case is different and results may vary based on the color and type of the inks used, results at our Virginia tattoo removal clinic are excellent over all. The Q-switched lasers we use at our Roanoke tattoo removal center allow tattoo removal with minimal, if any, skin damage. Burning to the skin in the location of the tattoo may result, but usually heals quickly following the procedure. There is generally no scarring in the spot where the tattoo existed, but scars may occasionally form.

Facial Fillers (RADIESSE® and Hydrelle™)

Virginia Skin & Vein offers some of the most advanced dermal fillers on the market with RADIESSE and Hydrelle. These facial fillers are some of the longest lasting, most comfortable fillers on the market offering one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid for greater value along with the ability to mix with lidocaine for enhanced procedural comfort. A few small injections can help you eliminate wrinkles, facial lines, crow’s feet, and skin laxity making you look year’s younger and lasting up to a year.

RADIESSE wrinkle filler offers a simple, convenient and more comfortable option to rapidly fill wrinkles, usually requiring just one shot that may last you up to a year. RADIESSE uniquely stimulate the production of collagen to enhance the long term effect of wrinkle removal. RADIESSE is also FDA cleared for mixing with lidocaine to allow enhanced patient comfort during the procedure.

The Hydrelle filler offers the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance found in the body, which allows for long-lasting results of up to 1 year. Hydrelle is the only HA dermal filler that can be mixed with lidocaine for enhanced patient comfort during injections.

Roanoke Botox® at Virginia Skin & Vein

If you are looking to get rid of furrows or frown lines between your brows, BOTOX® can help. Our Roanoke Botox® services offer a quick, non-surgical treatment to temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines in patients aged 18 - 65. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Sessions are quick– usually about 10 minutes – and are completed with a few tiny injections. Most patients notice within days that frown lines are minimized. Botox® injections are generally effective for a period of four months. Results with Botox® vary.

Pigmented and Vascular Lesion Removal

Virginia Skin & Vein offers the removal of pigmented and vascular lesions using our advanced Iridex Varilite lasser with 532nm and 940nm wave lengths. Both of these wave lengths have been proven effective in the treatment of facial veins (telangiectasia) and may be used alone or in combination to treat a wide variety of such veins. Virginia Skin & Vein also offers the advanced Cynosure 1064 YAG laser giving us a much broader range of treatment possibilities. All of these lasers allow us to treat a variety of conditions including facial veins, age spots, angiomas, port wine stains, solar lentigos, café-au-lait lesions, and liver spots. These lasers allow for the removal of these lesions quickly and easily, making a dramatic difference in appearance.
